High Commissioner Will Return.

(Received 9 30 a.m.) GENEVA. .Tune 15. It is reported by the Associated Press that Dr. Karl Burekhardt has decided to return to Danzig following German assurances that there will be no tension there before the Xureniburg rally in Septeml>er. It is understood that he has informed Britain and France of this decision. Dr. Burekhardt, who i* a Swiss, notified his intention, in November of last year, of resigning from "his poet as "High Commissioner in Danzig for the League of Nations. The office was to be liquidated, making Danzig independent of the League. Under the Treaty of Versailles Danzig, formerly a German town. w»s e>tal»lished as a free city under the protection of the League of Nations, which appointed a High Commissioner. When Dr. Burekhardt stated he would resign from this position Poland demanded hi* retention, and was supported by Britain end France.
