REDUCTION IN RAILWAY FARES.

WELLINGTON, This Day. la a speech at a banquet given in his honour lust evening, Sir Joseph Ward mide passing reference to the proposed concessions in railway rates. The Minister said these would embrace reduction in the ordinary season ticket rates for distances up to twenty miles and a reduction in the rate per mile to be charged for distances over twenty miles. This applies to tickets for both first and second class for one month, three months, six months and twelve months respectively.
