CRICKET.
An interesting cricket match was played, at Hagley Park yesterday between a team ifrom the ferry steamer Wahine and representatives of the Christchurch trainers and jockeys; The result was a narrow win for the steamer men by three runs. Battinig first the racing votaries totalled 62 (Cutts 22, Roden 22, Kyle i 0), against the bowling of Humpherson (7 for<>2) and Gray (3 for 23). Their opponents responded with Co (Dingwall 27>Humpheivsoto 10). . Kyle.' (fjfito? 27) and Mur-: ray-Ainsley (2 for 9) took, the Wickets. During the interval between the' innings the visitors -were entertained at afternoon; tea. It is underatood a return match will be played in a time.
