SELL THE OUTPUT.
ADVICE TO DAIRIES. Press Association. DUNEDIN, August 23. ; Mr J. R. Scott, secretary of the South Island Dairy Association, informed a reporter on Saturday that he did not agree with the advice tendered to the dairy -factories by the secretary of the National Dairy Association that their policy should be to consign, not sell. Mr Scott said that, he believed the general opinion amongst southern dairy factories was that they should sell their outputs in preference to consigning, and that, although no buyers were operating just now, there was no reason to think tliat they would not be before the end of October, when the first southern shipment would be ready for export. Mr Scott further stated that he had just received cable advice from London firms that the war risk on produce was now down to £2 per cent.
