The Nelson A. and P. show was opened to-day in fine weather. There was a fair attendance. The cattle, pigs, hoises, and sheep are generally very good, and the entries altogethei- are larger than last- year.

Ideal weather favoured the popular day at the A. and P. Society's show at Richmond Park, where n\ev 6000 were present. Considerable interest was taken in the riding, driving, jumping, and wood-c^opp.?^ competitions, and everything passed off with great success.
