The special prizes at the Otago A. and P. Society's show, held last weeK were awarded as follows : —Prize of £5 ss, given by Mr John Gebbie, for the most points in Border Leicester sheep, Messrs Little Bros ; 10 gallons of sheep dip, given by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company, for the most- points in Border Leicester breed, Messrs Little Bros. ; prize of £5 ss, gi^co by Mr Auge, for group of four Clydesdales, Mr R. Charters; prize of £5 ss, given by* Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., to the boiia fide farmer gaining the most points in section 19 (draught horses), Mr John Patrick; prize of £5 ss. given by Messrs Wright, Stephenson, ~ and Co., for the most points in' section"" 20 (draught hor*e.°), Mr R. The~ gross takings at the chow during the two days this year were £537. The receipts last year were £470.
