Messrs Moiuizso.v and Hopkin report for week ending May 18 :—: —

Wheat. — The demand i? hardly so keen and prices are a little easier. We quote : Best velvet, 5a to 5s 2d ; best Tuscan, 4s lid to 5s ; fowls' wheat, 3s fid to 4s. Oats : Tha market is very active, and prices during the week aieagaiu firmer. We quote: Best feed, 2s 4d to 2-s 5d per bushel ; Sutlierlauds, 2s 6d. Barley : Feed sorts are quoted at 2s 3d to 2s 6d ; milling. 3s 3d to 4s ; malting, from -is 6d to ss. Rye-coin, ?,<i 3<l to 3s £M. • Flour : We quote £13. Oatmeal hv 25'e. £13 30s.' Pearl barley, jCSI 10s. Bra;., £i. Pollard, £5. Nelson hops are quoted at Is 3d. Chaff : Extra prime, £3 15s to £4 ; medium, £3 to £'3 12s 6d. Kyegrass : The demand U good for small, shotty seed. Pigs.— For good quality, 4d. Poultry received for sale any day. Roosters (young), 2s 6d to 2s 9d-; hens, 23 to 2s 3d ; ducks (young), 3s to 3s 3d, 1 according to quality. Beeswax (wanted), Ib 2d to Is 6d for prime quality. Fruit. — We receive co-Dsignrneats of all kinds of fruit and garden produce, which we sell either by auction or privately, as we think best in the interests of consignors. Apples : 'Dessert, l*d to 2Jd ; cooking, ljd to 2d. Pears : Dessert, 2£d to 3Ja ; cooking, Id to 2d per lb. Tomatoes, 4d to 4Jd per lb ; bananas, 2d to 2Jd per lb.
