Novembbb 11. — We have had fine summer weather for some time now, although rather on the dry side ; but rain fell heavily one night last week, and now everything is looking w_eU. On Friday night last we had a sharp frost, and some of the early potatoes have suffered. The crops are now coming on satisfactorily, and look very well. There Js a large area of land' under tnruips this year, and grass is plentiful. Shearing.— Some of the farmers commence shearing this week, and shearers are beginning to knock around, but work will not commence at the large sheds until the end of the month, Dairy Factory.— The quantity of milk being supplied is not sufficient to enable the concern to pay. Ib iB a pity that the factory is not better supported, as the quality of the che»se made is nrstrclass and commands a high price. By sending their milk to the factory suppliers would receive at the rate of 9d per Ib for their butter instead of, as at present, oaly getting 4d or fid per Ib for it. Inquest.— A man named George Griffiths was found dead in a hut at Dunrobin on the 9th inst. An inquest was held before Mr W. Quin, J.P., on the 11th, when a verdict of death from natural otuses was returned. Deceased was a rabbiter, and was 70 years of age.
