ASHBURTON AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL, ASSOCIATION

CIATION.

At the annual meeting of the above Association the following officers were elected for tho ensuing year : — President, Mr John Grigg ; vice-president, Mr W. C. Walker ; treasurer, Mr Shury ; secretary, Mr George Jameson, vice Mr Calvert, resigned.

Mr John Carter wrote, offering to place his paddocks at the disposal of the Association for the next Bhow, and enclosed a life member's subscription of £10 10a. A vote of thanks for his liberal offer was unanimously passed ; but it was resolved that the next show should be held in Mr Joseph Clark's yard at Tinwald, the members considering that it would be inadvisable to incur the expense of fittting up fresh pens in another situation. It was decided that the show should take place either on November 18th or 20th, provided these dated did not clash with any other show In Canterbury, the matter being left in the hands of the Committee. The following General Committee waa then appointed : — Messrs Metcalf c, J. Clarke, D. Wilson, J. Sergeant, J. Lambie, W. H. Guadry, N. M.Lean, J. Chalmers, F. Guinness, "R. Thomas, G. M. Robinson, J. Thomas, E. S. Coster, R. Miller, R. Friedlander, W. A. Brown, W. H. Zouch, J. E. Taylor, D. Williamson, J. Tucker, D. Taylor, E. Saunders, J. Bell, S. Bullock, C. P. Cox, J. Carter, W. Bennison, A. Dawson, H. J. Smith, M. Stitt, J. Hunt, D. Cameron, — Weeks. Messrs H. T. Winter and J. S. Revans were appointed members of the Association.
