Doctor Grant and Professor Wall-en-burg. — Yesterday, these gentlemen, the well-known Oculißts, Aurists, and Specialists invited ub to interview several patients on whom they had successfully used their skill since their arrival We had read the numerous descriptions in many of our contemporaries of the wonderful cures affected by them, and therefore were soaacely surprised at personally witnessing the confirmation of these statements. The first man we saw was a labourer, Michuel Ryan, living in Gorogery, who came to Albury on the previous day, suffering from some disease of the ©yea. Dr G. and the Professor said they would cure him, and they did so. The ulcers healed, and Ryan can now see with both eyes. The next case was Mr George Waite, of Cumberoona, and this has beeu a marvellous cure. According to his own words, he had beon totally blind in one eye for 20 years, and has boen unrter the trertment of * Melbourne doctors for t! c whole of : that ' time— spending hundreds of pounda, and undergoing several operations. 1 Two months ago he came to Drs .G. and W., and he can now see quite distinctly. The other eye had also a spot in it, and /that was, likewise removed. Very little pain was f f elt by Mr Waite. Another case, .was, that.. of "MißsJ. Jenkins, a young girl, whose- sight, was entirely gone in both' eyes,-, and, her,. hearing almost .gone. The' blindness wag incurable, as'taeyhad burst, but. hearing was, partially restored in 24' hours., . .Another extraordinary cure was effected ! in ..the case of Robert Manning, the ; well^kno.wn brewer. He had been partially , deaf emco boyhood, and is now 47 years of! age. To make him, hear it was necessary to> bellow into his ears, but on Thursday he was; treated; and' yesterday he could hear thej ticking of a' watch away from his right ear. ' These oureV are- 'facts 1 and, far from being', exaggerated, are nothing but the plain, un-\ varnished trntk; We should strongly ad-[ vißeany person afflicted with either, bliad-' ness or deafness to embrace the opportunity of oonsultingi these gentlemen before they leave —Border Post. Successful Operation. — Restoration op Sight. — When about to go to press, we were made acquainted with a remarkably successful operation performed by Dr Grant and Professor Wallenburg on a young lady— Miss Galling, ■ the ■ daughter of a farmer in the. neighbourhood of CorraL She has been' blind for four" or five years in the right eye, and' suffered terrible pain. "'The case being submitted td'Drs G. and W., it was found, thai a Berious ulcer had formed over the cornea, which threatened to completely destroy the organ of vision. These gentlemen, by a knife operation of great dexterity,' removed the ulcer, and'fcight was immediately restored. The patient is doiug well.' We have personal knowledge of these facts, and O»n vouch for their accuracy. — Xaomi Times. Tp-the Editor of thcNewcaßtle Daily Pilot g;. ri __Willyou allow me through yourcolumra to express my gratitude to Drs Grant and Wallenburg for what they have accomplished In my daughter's case ?
