Accidents and Fatalities.

On Tuesday, 22nd instant, Mr O, Hankin tailer-out at Harrington's mill, met with a painful accident, having tbe top of the third finger on his right hand almost severed. Dr Baird dressed up the wounded finger, and it will be some time before Mr Hankin oan resume work. On Wednesday, the 23rd instant, Wallace, son of Mr John Swap, while playing with some small companions, felt and fractured his right thigh. Wallace has been particularly unfortunate, as it is not long since he has recovered from a break m the left leg. On Thursday, 24th instant, Mr Geo. Stearne, employed at Glenburn Mill, Beverly cut his left shin with an axe, and had to have same sewn up with several stitches. On Saturday, 26th instant, Wm. Thomson, bushman at Harrington's mill, had his thigh fraotured badly, and was conveyed to the .Riverton Hospital for treatment. On the same date George, the son of Mr. Collinson, of the Southland Timber Co.'s mill, had his hip and t back crushed*, With the< exception of Mr Thomson all the sufferers are being attended to by Dr. Baird.
