CLYDESDALE HORSE SOCIETY
MEETING OF COUNCIL. A meeting of the council of the Clydesdale Horse Society of New Zealand was held at the registered office in Crawford street, Dunedin, on Thursday evening. There werj present: Mr Alex. Hunter (president), Messrs W. J. J. Charters, J. A. Johnstone, T. Logan, 11. Saunders, J. D. Wyllie. The following new members were elected:—Messrs J. S. Barrow (To Roti, Taranaki), A. L. Bremer (Okaiawa), A. E. Death (Croitmore, Hawera), Geo. Ford (Momona) ; W. G. M'lntosh (Springston, Canterbury), Ewan M'Lcnnan (Berwiok). The folowing A. and P. Associations were affiliated for the current year:—Egmont A. and P. Society (Hawera), Gore A. and P. Association (Gore), Waimate A. and P-. Association (Waimate), Palmerston and Waihemo A. and P. Association (Palmerston), Southland A. and P. Association (Invercargill), Tokomairiro Farmers' Club (Milton). The list of judges was revised and the secretary was instructed to forward a copy to the Council of Agriculture. . A letter was received from tho Executive Committee of the Panama Pacific Exposition, advising that the society's offer of photographic enlargements of New Zealand Clydesdales had been accepted, and desiring them to be forwarded. This matter was loft in tho hands of the secretary to complete. Accounts amounting to £31 7s 8d were passed for payment.
