AWARDS TO SOLDIERS
SERVICE IN MIDDLE EAST OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS [BY TET/KGRAT'H —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Monday The following awards to officers and other ranks of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force on service in the Middle Fast have been announced in a cablegram from headquarters of the Expeditionary Force: — Military Cross.—Captain Alan Lionel Lomas, Medical Corps; his father is Mr. J. -T. Lomas, of New Plymouth. Distinguished Conduct Medal.—Sergeant Richard Hevwood Thomson, Armv Service Corps; his mother is Mrs. P. H. Thomson, of Piripaua, via Wairoa. Military Medal. —Sergeant Peter Gillespie Wilson. Army Service Corps; bis wife is Mrs. F. L. Wilson, of Wairoa. Driver Norman Jack Prichard, Army Service Corps; his father is Mr. N. S. Prichard, of Bulls; Driver Georgo William Corp. Army Service Corps; next-of-kin, Mrs. Browne, of Dargaville. M.C. FOR ATJCKLANDER LIEUTENANT F. H. MULLER Private advice that Lieutenant F. H. Mnller, Reserve Mechanised Transport, New Zealand Army Service Corps, has been awarded the Military Cross, has been received in Auckland. Formerly an employee of the Railway Department at To Kuiti and brankton. Lieutenant Mullcr left New Zealand with the First Echelon. Prior to the outbreak of war lie held a commission in the Territorials in which he was attached to a trench mortar unit. Lieutenant Midler's wife lives at Takapuna and his parents at To Kuiti.
