SCHOOL REUNION
OLD PUPILS OF BAYFIELD GATHERINGS NEXT MONTH A reunion of former scholars and teachers of "the Bayfield School is to be held from March 23 to 26, according to a decision made at a meeting of former pupils of the school held at Heme Bay. Since the school was opened in 18S6 more than 9000 scholars have passed through it, many of whom now hold prominent positions in Auckland and other parts of New Zealand. Former pupils of the school also hold executive positions in England, South Africa. Malaya and China. The evening of March 23 will be devoted to a social gathering, while on March 24 present pupils will be tho guests of former scholars. A roll call will be held on tho afternoon of March 25, while in tho evening a banquet will bo held. The celebration is to bo concluded with a church parade and servico in the school grounds on Sunday, March 26. Tho chairman of the committee is Mr. A. G. Frankham, and the deputychairman is Mr. Stace Bennett. Several subsidiary committees have been formed with the following chairmen: — Messrs. A. Ji. Hodgson, C. H. JepsonJames, Bryce Hart, W. H. P. Brown, W. H. Fortune and Miss F. E. Thomson. Miss L. Sloane is the registrar, Mr. A. S. Bagnall is honorary treasurer, and the secretary-organiser is Mr. A. T. Dow.
