PALESTINE PARTITION
. NO CHANGE IN POLICY ' BRITAIN NOT DETERRED (Received February 10, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY. Feb. 0 Asked whether the Government still adhered to the policy of partition in Palestine, the Colonial Secretary, Mr. W. Ormsby-Gore, told the House of Commons to-day that it still did so, bub
until the mandate was amended by the League it could not be altered by an Act of the British Government.
Mr. Ormsby-Gore added that the Government regarded the policy of partition as the best means of implementing the proposed establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine. Acts of terrorism would not deter the Government from making further inquiries, which were necessary to prepare a definite scheme.
