A CHANGE OF QUARTERS
Horn's Reef was accompanied back to Invercargill last weekend by Whaddon Chase, whom T. E. Pankhurst is also to train in future.
Whaddon Chase is a five-year-old black gelding by Hunting Song from Marsurd, by Absurd, from Makepiece (dam of Pompax, Pacify, and the smart Hawera colt Notium), by Martian from The Hague, by Stepniak. He is a sturdy customer, but his form has not so far been impressive. He may be tried at the jumping game, a class of sport at which Hunting Song's progeny have done well.
