„.. , , LONDON, July 21. with the approach of the summer holiday season the Stock Exchange is getting mto .a somewhat lethargic condition, but prices generally are well maintained, despite lack of business, gilt-edged especially .showing firmness. Industrials also are mostly steady, but aircraft company shares, which recently were active, suffered a reaction following Mr. Stanley Baldwin's A.'atement that the Royal Air Force- would be increased by 492 machines, for it had been hoped orders would be placed for thrice that number.
