TREASURY BILL RATES

LONDON, July 21. A total of £59,570,000 was applied for in tenders for £35,000,000 of Treasury bills on Friday. The amount allotted in three months bills was £31,220,000, the average rate per cent, being 15/1.14, as compared with 15/7.72 last week.
The average~rate per cent, ou July 7, 1933 was 10/4.85. The average rate for August following was 5/4.95 per cent., and for September 7/1.95 per cent. i The highest rate since September last was 19/0.79 per cent., for December. After that the rate fell away to 16/5.32 for February 16, and it has since varied from about' 16/6 to 17/10, and latterly to about Ij/6 per cent,, omitting decimals.
