MAUNGANUI DUE MONDAY
! The Union Company's steamer Maunganui, which has been transferred from the intercolonial'1 service to make one trip in the Sydney-San Francisco mail service, in order to fill in the gap until the Monowai is ready to replace the Tahiti, left Sydney on Thursday afternoon, and has reported by wireless than she expects to ai-rive at Wellington at 7 a.m. on Monday. She will berth at about S o'clock at jSto. 1 south Queen's Wharf, and 'is scheduled to sail from there at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in continuation of her voyage to San Francisco, via Raratonga and Papeete. The Maunganui has on board 250 passengers, and her mail comprises 358 bags from Australia and 310 parcel,receptacles, including S9 from places other than Australia. ' ' ■■'■_■•.- In the intercolonial service the Marama is due at Auckland on Tuesday from Sydney, and comes down the coast to Wellington, where she is due on Thursday,. to sail for Sydney on Friday afternoon.
