FLOWERS AND THE SOLDIERS' GRAVES
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Would you allow me space in your columns to express the thanks and appre- ! oiation of the W.N.R. girls' branch for the wonderful response from schools and colleges and country friends for flowers and tributes for the soldiers' graves at Karori on Aiuae Day. Altogether some IL'OO wreaths and bunches of ilowers were received, allowing every soldier's grave in Karori Cemetery to have a lloral tribute placed upon it. I would like also to take this opportunity to thank the Girl Guides and Girl Guards (S.A.) and Sea Scouts, who worked so hard and so well with the distribution of the wreaths, carried out under the valued direction of Mr. Harlen, sexton of the cemetery, and also our very great appreciation of the services of the Automobile Association, which, under the direction of Mr. M'Gowan; carried some hundred girls to the cemetery and back.— I am, etc., V. BE ALES, President, W.N.It. Girls' Branch.
