SYDNEY'S TURN.

READY FOR FLEET [WEEK. By Tele*rapTi.— Press Aicwoiatiuiu— Copyrifht. (Received August 18, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The city is rilling with country and inter-State visitors. Thousands are arriving daily. Excepting for detail work, the Reception Committee report that everything is ready for the arrival of the fleet. The weather is bright, but cold. .There'is snow on the highlands. On Thursday, at 11.30 a.m., Ithe fleet will enter Port Jackson Heada and proceed to the anchorages on the north and south sides of Sydney Harbour. At 3 p.m. the Admiral commanding the United States fleet, other Admirals, and captains of ship's, will land at Man-o'— War Steps, and call on the GovernorGeneral and tho Governor, at Government House. The guard of honour from the Commonwealth Naval Forces will be dTawn up at Man-o' -War Steps to receive the Admiral. On arrival at the ■steps, the Admiral and staff will he met by an A.D.C. of the Governor-General, and by him conducted to Government House. A salute of 13 guns will be fired from the saluting baittery, Fort Demson, by the Royal .Australian Artillery on the United States Admiral's landing. A guard of honour will be furnished at Government House by the Royal Au&'•tralian Artillery. Tho Admiral and staff, on the conclusion of their visit) ; will return to Man-o'-War Steps by the. same route. The Governor-General and the Governor will return the call 011 the Admiral the same afternoon. On Friday, at 10 a.m., the United' States Navy representatives units will land at pontoons, march to ith© Outer Domain, and form up in space allotted in front of the reception pavilion. Staff officers will be detailed to lead the representatrves of the United States Navy from each landing-place. At 11 a.m. the United States Admirals and staffs will land at the official landing-place on the east side of Farm Cove, where they will be met by a guard of honour of the Commonwealth naval forces. The Admiral will be received at this point by the Prime Minister and the Commonwealth Ministers of State ; the Premier of Now South Wales, and the members of the State Ministry.; the Lord Mayor, aldermen, and town clerk of Sydney. After the reception at the 1 landing-place, the United States Admirals and those •■who have received them will enter their carriages and proceed to the reception pavilion in the Domain. The official reception will then take place, and the Admiral will be publicly welcomed by -the Governor-General, the State Governor, the Prime Minister, the Premier, and the Lord Mayor of Sydney. On the afternoon and evening of Friday there will be many attractions, on the Saturday a regatta will bo one of the chief events, on Sunday there will be a church parade, on Monday a review and ihe Governor-General's ball, on Tuesday a gymkhana, and on Wednesday, a publio schools demonstration, etc
