An Inter-State conference of represen--natives of football organisations discus-, sed- the question of establishing a universal Australian game. In reply to a question, one delegate declared that there was no prospect whatever of Rugby giving *waylin regard to -off side. Another delegate replied : "That settles if 1" Mr. M'Keon, New Zealand, thought a game could be evolved which would be, the Australian game perfected. He added that the Northern Union gpame as played by the "All Blacks" had'eome fee stay in NeW Zealand. No decision was reached. ,
