It is significant of the low state into which the Gbvenuuent railway stock has got "(sayis our Wellington correspondent), that the DupartHKCt was obliged to borrow a numbar of carriages from the. Manawatu Railway Company to enable it to cope with the traffic to and from the Wellington racecourse on Wednesday last.
