AMERICANS GRATEFUL
"Please express the deep appreciation of our evacuee passengers to the Mavor, Sir Ernest Davis, and }>eople of Auckland: for a memoraible day," stated a radiogram received to-day'by the local agents of the Matson Line, from the captain of the Monterey. Captain E. R. .Tohanson. Another message of appreciation of the hospitality extended last Monday was received by tie Mayor from the mothers' committee formed among the American women passengers. This message said: "Convey our sincere thanks to all who made our day in Auckland so enjoyable."
