ROAD ACCIDENTS.
BOY KILLED.
KNOCKED DOWN BY BUS,
POINT CHEVALIER ACCIDENT.
Brian Kennedy, the five-year-old son of Mr. J. Kennedy, of 79, Wainui Avenue, Point Chevalier, suffered fatal injuries when he was knocked down by a motor bus belonging to the fleet of tlie Passenger Transport Company, near the fire station in Point Chevalier Road about 4.30 011 Saturday afternoon. He was rushed to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance, but died about two hours later. The bus, which was returning from Point Chevalier with a load of footballers, was driven by Mr. V. T. Johnson, of Grey Street, Papatoetoe, the child coming into contact with the bus as he was crossing the road. An inquest was opened before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., coroner, yesterday, and was adjourned after evidence of identification had been taken.
