Aii overnight gale interrupted the telephonic and telegraphic communication with all places in the North Auckland peninsula beyond Whangarei. A "shaky" line was reported to be maintaining a rather inadequate telegraph service this morning; but, pending repairs, all transmitting work for northern stations lias been undertaken by Whangarei.
