MUSIC AND THE EXHIBITION.
(To th« Editor.) Sir, —Kindly permit mc to make a hrief reply to "Musician" 'with reference to the reported engagement of the 3rd Regimental Band for the Exhibition. I got my information from an issue of your morning contemporary of February 27. But it matters not whether it was the Regimental or Mounted Rifles Band, my point was that the band that could go one better than the Garrison Band, on its performance on the night of February 2G, should be eDgaged for the forthcoming Exhibition, if we must draw from local talent.—l am, etc., MUZTKO. <To the Editor.) notice in your papers of late letters in regard to a band for the coming Exhibition. I would like to suggest that the committee look further afield , than Auckland for a suitable band. Why not our champions of Australasia, the Wa,iganui Garrison Band, whose performances have always met with distinct approval ?—I am, etc, BANDSMAN.
