WESTLAND GOLDFIELD JUBILEE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, — You will observe from the heading to this sheet that the jubilee of the Westland Goldfield is approaching. It falls to be held at Hokitika on January 7 th, Bth and 9th, 1914, with days following at Ross and Kumara. In connection with the jubilee the celebration committee is anxious to compile a list of pioneers who were on the West Coast any time in the sixties. I would be obliged if you would give this fact publicity in your reading columns, and also ask those affected to communicate their name and address with the secretary of the jubilee committee at Hokitika, when the committee could at once get into touch with the people, and advise them of the arrangements being made for the celebration of the jubilee, and the facilities to reach here and participate in the several functions to be organised.—l am, etc., D. J. EVANS, Hon. Secretary.
