- Corsair Courier
The Corsair Courier was a typewritten camp magazine published by the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) personnel stationed in Bougainville, Papua New Guinea, in 1945 during World War II.
While only one issue is available, Corsair Courier appears to be a digest of war news from around the world as well as New Zealand sporting and racing news. This particular issue from August 1945 covers the surrender of Japan, suggesting it is most likely the last issue of the publication. The headquarters of the New Zealand Air Task Force at Bougainville was starting to wind down after the surrender announcement, with most squadrons having been disbanded by the end of 1945.
The editor for this issue was Flight Sergeant M J Ruane with the publisher Corporal N Church.
