Battalion was on a route march and the men were resting for a brief period on the roadside. “Bluey” walked over to the fence of a cottage, and was sitting with his back against the fence when a woman approached. x “This marching business makes a man thirsty,” “Bluey” remarked. “I’ll go inside and get you a nice drink of water,” the woman offered. “Don’t bother, lady,” “Bluey” replied. “I said it makes a man thirsty, not dirty.” * * * Italians captured at Keren included no officer of higher rank than colonel.
