Aussies’ Threat to Rabaul
Australian forces in the South Pacific continue to make good progress.
A recent advance constitutes a real threat to the port of Rabaul which is still held by a large Japanese garrison.
The Aussies have split the Japanese forces in the north of Bougainville and have gained one third of the island since taking over from American troops.
