Two more landings in Philippines.
In the battle of the Philippines the Japanese have suffered two more defeats as the result of more American landings.
One task force on Panay island moved rapidly from its beachhead and reported to be closing in on the capital. Another force made a new landing on a small island South-West of Mindanao.
