RECREATION.
The talk of “work” and “schemes” running through this must not be taken to mean that fun and games were absent. Quite the opposite; laughter broke and bubbled through the outings; bathing parades when we bounced the Pacific Ocean and. came back hotter than, when we started;, the shooting day withits picnic lunch and. unofficial donnybrooks in the night attack; ride in convoy.; the- sing-songs led by our genial Quartermaster and notable for the introduction of Henderson’s A.T.C. pep song and the films that followed; the Institute with , its organised games and informal groups and the two dances at North Brighton and at Brighton Central when the residents showed their warm hearted hospitality. . •
These all make a picture of team work leavened by fun and fellowship through parade, instruction, mess and fatigue, imbuing all hands with a spirit of co-operation that to be lasting, must find frequent and thorough practical expression. . <
