GOT OFF HER BIKE.
Wihen the 'first 100 per cent. Maori guard was mounted, it received orders that cyclists were not allowed to pass the sentry without dismounting, and that if cyclists did not dismount on their own account they were to be assisted to do so. It happened that the first customer was a W.A.A.C., and the guard sergeant personally attended to her dismounting. She did not like it. At least that was the impression the sergeant got. In fact, it seemed that she had definite opinions on the subject.
Time marched on. Messtime came. The guard sergeant went to mess And who should walk up to attend to his table but his victim of the afternoon. She gave him, she says, a nasty look! However, he recovered from the meal all right, so the W.A.A.C. apparently was content.to let it rest at that. * * *
FEET HOW’S YOURS? What size boots do you take? Whatever size it may be, we bet you are not as good as U.S. soldier Frank Lloyd. Place the back of your heel against the line at the side and your foot over 'the open pages of “Guerilla.” Unless your toes overhang the far edge of the opposite page a full inch your feet are smaller than Pte. Lloyd’s. His feet are IE J inches long and at their widest point measure six inches. The U.S. Army had to set a boot factory making size ,181 boots for the lad.
