Auckland Dist. Executive, 30th May.. Mr>. Richards sided and led devotions. Mi rbe*, Blenheim, and Mrs. A. Incrocci, Uunedin, were welcomed and extended greeting* from their Unions. Mrs. Mountjoy rejxirted on the N.« and also Maori Girls' Hostel. A letter to go to Mrs. Brockelhurst, a very old member, now in Cornwall Hospital. Devotions taken by Mrs. Ibbetson. and members engaged in prayer, after which members stood in sympathy with relatives of Bond, who recently passed away. A member of the Te Kuiti Maori I"nion was welcomed and asked t< speak on the work being done in their union, and this proved interesting. Resolutions passed at InvercargiU Convention were* read and dealt with. Henderson. Mrs. Phillips presided and led dt ■- !♦ was the Cradle Roll Party, and ihere was a good attendance of members and friends, and quite a few children. Items h\ Mr-. Ju.' lonian addressed the mothers on "What effect the Gospel of Jesus Christ has on a child's life." The were entertained by Mesdatnes Barton, Webb, Goodenough and M.ss Patty Mitchell, and each child received a gift. We were ever BO pleased to have Miss Grainger present with us. Mothers were invited to send their young l>eo|>le to the L.T.L. and "Y" Hranch, where they can learn the truth about alcohol, and how to combat the evils in their midst. In the King Country many a young life will be blighted and home*- saddened, because we have let in the dunk evil.

Mrs. Beaumont, treasurer, and a faithful member for many years, is leaving the district, so she was presented with a lovely box iid a nice vegetable bowl with love and best wishes from members. Several sj>oke with appreciation of Mrs, Beaumont's Christian service ifl Otahuhu, and how she would be .nissed. "Blest be the tie that binds," and prayer closed the meeting.

An address on child welfare was given by Sister Summerell of the Child Welfare Dept. A most interettissj and helpful talk. Questions answered. The opinion was expressed that family worship was a bond in keeping families united. Mrs. Eyles reported on N.C.W. efforts; thanks for Corso appeal and the hospital chapel appeal. The Broadcast,

Woodcock, elocutionary, and Mrs. Wilson and Miss Mangels, songs, and all were much enjoyed. Hostesses were mes Lennon and McGregor. The cake was cut by Miss M. B. Ixnell-Smith.

Spreydon, 30th Birthday celebrated. Mrs. 1.. H. Woodcock led and welcomed representatives of other unions. Devotions taken from John 14, on Peace, were taken by Mrs. Newtfi. Hiett, and Mrs. Graham, travelled to Balclutha by the latter's <*ar, iMisl, the Union in that town. A short address was given by Mrs. Flett, and Mrs. Hiett sj>oke on the need for training young peopss to abstain from all intoxicating liquor. Fifteen enthusiastic Christian women were initiated. The following officers were elected: Pres., Mrs. Gill; Sec, Miss A. Thomson; Treas., Mrs. Walker. The meeting day to be the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
