MRS. A. KASPAR, J.P.—A TRIBUTE

The many friends of Mrs. Kaspar of Auckland will learn with regret of her further illness, for she has been a patient in a convalescent hospital since early in May of this year, and although slowly improving, it will he some time before she is about again. I luring her long years of service in the W.C.T.U. Mrs. Kaspar has served as Auckland District President for ten years and as District Secre:ary for a period She gave up the District Superintendency of the "Y’s” to take up that of the L.T.L.’s and of these she organised ten branches, while at the same time conducting the Kohi and St. Helicrs L.T.L.’s for many years herself. As Dominion and World Superintendent of the School of Methods, her work in this department is well known. Her generosity in providing trophies tor District and Dominion competition has been widely appreciated. These include two silver vases—ope for adult and one for “Y” Unions—with a bronze and a brass vase for second prizes respectively. The District Banner and the L.T.L. Banner were gifts of hers, as also a Dominion Banner. Added to this are two silver shields for competition among the Dominion “Y’s.” I am sure w r e all wish for her a speedy restoration to good health and continued service in the Temperance Cause, which we know is so dear to her. —R. M. Mountjoy (Auckland District President).
