One new member initiated. Home Meeting, November 2nd at Mrs. Lawrence’s home; 17 ladies present. Ciuest s|*eaker, Miss Campbell, of Auckland, took f-»r her subject “How much are you worth?' !*ok> by Miss Carrington, pianoiorte duet by Me>dames Lawrence and Hill-Taylor, and recitations by Miss Campbell and Mrs. Jolly. Te Kopuru. The meeting was presided over by Mrs. Bickers. Gratification expressed that no license was granted for open bar in Te Kopuru. Letters of thanks to Mrs. J. J. Walker and Mr. Soole re the matter. Seven children entered for Temperance examinations and two stiver medals gained. Children to receive prizes locally. l AUCKLAND DISTRICT District Executive. October M rs. Mouutjoy presided. Devotions by Mrs. Cullen. Kejiort was given of Mrs. Ernest Brown’s meeting in Auckland. This was organised by the Baptist Women, but during the meeting Mrs. Mount joy presented flowers to Mrs. Brown on behalf of the W .C.T.U. Nominations for Dominion officers sent in. Satisfactory reply from the Mayor of Auckland re the behaviour of University students. Mrs. Mountjoy re|*orted on Maori Girls’ Hostel and N.C.W. Conference in Christchurch. November tth. Gngß, of Wellington. Mrs. Knapp presided. Mrs. Grigg’s address on her trip overseas, touching on W. C.T.U., N.C.W’., and other women’s work wjs greatly apnr*i >ated.
