A LETTER FROM THE WORLD’S PRESIDENT

Dear Members and Fellow Workers,

all over the World,

As this Bulletin goes out to >ou 1 wish to send with it a warm invitation to be present at the Eighteenth Convention of the World's Women’s Christian Temperance Union, to be held in England, from Saturday, June 3rd to Saturday, June 10th, 1950, in Hastings, Sussex. This seaside town is on the South Coast of England, not far from London. Recently 1 visited our Convention town, along with Mrs. Heath, and found Hastings a most attractive ceatre, where the Civic Authorities are prepared to do everything possible to make our gathering welcome. Come and make 1950 Convention a record. Plan now for your trip to (»reat Britain and join in the wonderful fellowship and inspiration of our meetings together. Wouldn’t it he splendid if delegates came from every country where our White Ribbon activities arc carried on! Our Cause is spreading, and we welcome Italy and Belgium as two of the countries where new life is springing up; we also rejoice in the new members added to our forces by the affiliation of our fellow workers in Holland. Warm greetings to you all, especially to those in far off lands. I look forward to seeing some of you about September and October of this year, when my husband and I set out on a tour by air to Bangkok, Australia and India. Yours in our beloved Cause, NORA M. FORRESTER-PATON.
