DOMINION OFFICERS' REPORTS

ESSAY COMPETITION Forty-two entries were sent in for this competition from twenty-three places. The winners are: First prize, MARTON FRANCIS, Christchurch. Second prize, Beverley Aderman, New Plymouth. Third prize, Joan Marx, Te Awamutu. Viva Thompson, Ashburton, Gwen Sinclair, Dunedin, and Judith Moss, Te Awamutu, were 41 Highly Commended"; while Ruth Murray, Ashburton, and Valerie ilansen, Gisborne, received the “ Very Good " mark. We heartily congratulate the winners of prizes, and these others who must have run them up fairly closely. POSTER COMPETITION Sixty-eight posters were sent in, from twenty-three places. The winners are:— First prize, Raymond Nor the, Napier. Second prize, Denise Wilkinson, Fendalton, Christchurch. Third prize, Beulah Ferguson, Ashburton. Douglas Grierson, of Kio Kio, Otorohanga, is “ Very Highly Commended ’’; and Colleen Fyle, Whangarei, Willie Taane, Waitomo Caves, and Jimmy Joseph, Te Kuiti, are all 44 Highly Commended." To all of these boys and girls, hearty congratulations arc sent. It is hoped that all the children who entered will receive some small recognition of their efforts at the hands of the nearest local Union, unless they are prizewinners. C. TOOMER, Dominion Corresponding Secretary. t AN ADDRESSOGRAPH Because of changes looming up in the “White Ribbon" department, in the near future, it appeared to be inevitable that an Addressograph would have to be added to the office equipment for 44 W.R. ” wrappers; which work has been faithfully done by about twenty ladies each month. We are delighted to announce that, owing to the generosity of the Dunedin Central Union, the Addressograph is now’ an accomplished fact. A cheque for £B3 55., the total cost of the machine, including a number of stencils, and a cabinet container for the same, has been rectived from the Dunedin Central Union. G. C.
