PARENTS, BEWARE.

Parents and guardians, your attention is again called to the reports which show that there is a most alarming increase in cases ot venereal diseases dealt with at the various clinics. Have you noticed also the increasing tendency on the part of those in authority to place the whole of the blame on the girl or woman concerned? She must be sent to prison and her name published in the daily papers. The names of the men concerned are not mentioned, although they surely are also blameworthy in so much that if they bad not held rather loose moral standards they would not have consorted with alleged prostitutes. All that happens to the men is that they are given the satisfaction of knowing that the woman is sent to prison and they are again assured that all that can be done to make immoral living “safe” will be done. What are YOU doing towards teaching the boys and girls in your home moral and physical self-control 5 The following figures, quoted from a recent report published by the Wellington Society for the Protection of W ; omen and Children, will make clear to you the horrifying fact that main parents and guardians have failed to give their sons and daughters the vitally necessary standard of morality and decency.

Increase in number of cases dealt with first time in V.D. clinics; —
