MAKOTUKU.
HONK HOME. On January Hth, after an Illness of only a few days, our President, Mrs T. Fotheigill, passed away. During tin* seven years’ life of this i nion, Mrs Kothergill had l»een its President, its "White Ribbon" Agent, and Press Superintendent. Her interest and ac - tivity as a memlier of W.C.T.I". dated further hack than these seven years, as she held office for some years as Treasurer of the Oiinondville l nion when it was a live Branch. Mrs Fothergill was generous in the use of her car; more than once she conveyed parties and delegates to District Conventions, and she also gathered up meml»ers and drove them to and from the local meetings, a great help to tired women who had some distance to go. She* was very proud of the work the l nion did with Kami of Hope and Cradle Roll, and was a most active an*l eneigetic worker in the Anglican Church. At the annual meeting held in Noveniln-r, her choice of an opening hymn now seems to Im* significant of what was to come —‘‘Jesus is Tenderly Calling M*‘ Home. Calling for Me."
