IN MEMORIAM.
MRS MACARTNEY. It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Mrs George Mai artney at Invercargill, after an ilbn of only five days. Having been occupied in business for the last few years, she had not been taking such an acti\* part in the Union's work as formerly, until her retirement from business a few months ago. When her services were again available, she was at once “returned to action,” noth as a Y Superintendent and as Dresident of th* North Invercargill Union. Her ele* tion to the latter office took place less than a week before her death, when she was seemingly in good health, and full of plans for the coming vear. In Dunedin she made a very tine Secretary for years, and then a most effi cient Treasurer for two or three years. The work she did at the Exhibition creche is a memorial for fine organ is ing ability. The N.Z. Union benefited by £2OO. Sh*' wm Hospitality Got vener for last Dunedin Convention. She was Superintend* nt, and afterwards, for one year, was Dominion Y Superintendent. In Dunedin, as well as Invercargill, our ldt* sister’s zeal, thoroughness, and giaciousness will b< remembered by those who knew and loved her Her Lord, Whom she followed, ha called her for higher service.
