FACING A VERITABLE FOE.
Sir Edgar Sanders, Director of the Brewers’ Society in Great Dritain. in presenting the* brewers’ schemes for 11 < resuscitation of the beer trade, had much to say about the science of advertising. He stated that four leading advertising firms, which had been consulted by the* Brewers’ Society, ha\ submitted schemes and enlarged on how they would proceed if they obtained the brewers’ contract. These su> gested plans were condensed thus: "Press advertising, bill posting, advertising on public vehicles, possibly in illuminated signs, distribution of liter;. Dire, lectures and articles by prominent persons, and press propaganda by means of editorial and news items."
