“STAY AT HOME” VOTE NOTICEABLE IN SPECIAL ELECTIONS.

The wets are talking much of an “overwhelming majority” of votes against the Eighteenth Amendment cast at tin special elections on repeal. The actual figures show that tin* re | realist* have received a very small vote as compared with the vote cast at the last Presidential election. It stands to reason that the dry "stay-at-home” vote at tin* special elections was much larger than the wet stay-at-home vote hi cause the liquor forces always make it their special business to “get out their vote,” and this year they had f h« help of the wet press and the political party machine. The following figures from twelve of the states which have voted are furnished by the Anti-Saloon League. They are self-explanatory.
