SCIENTIFIC TEMPERANCE EXAMINATION'S.

I bar Fellow-Workers, — 1 wish to make a special appeal to help with the Scientific Temperance Examinations.

I know it is impossible for many Unions to work a Loyal Temperance Legion or Hand of Hope, but, don't we all know some bright boy or girl to whom we could give a Lesson Manual? Talk it over with them, persi ade them what a fine thing it would be to study the lessons, and enter for the examinations.

The Manuals will thus go into many homes; parents will hear what the children are studying, ai d will help to enthuse them.

If you each gain only one entrant, who can say how far-reaching the results will be. Watch for directions in the “White Ribbon,” enter the children, and at the time appointed for the examination, act as supervisor, or get some re.iahle person to do so.

Surely this work would be possible for every member. I would urge that every Loyai Temperance Legion and every Hand of Hope enter some members for the examination. If all cannot win a medal, all may gain a certificate. Do take a supply of Lesson Manuals, seek out the children, and distribute them.

Make up your mind that this is your special work, and Oo«l will prosper >ot urs in White Ribbon bonds. CLARA M NEAL. "Ten Simple Lessons on Alcohol,” 4d per copy. "Alcohol, a Cell Poison.” 6d per copy.
