Cheery meeting, despite l>ad weather. Kfl iss Henderson presided. Her address dealt with the work for the “White Ribbon” since Mrs Leavitt founded it in 1885, travelling in ail, for nine years, round the world, setting up the work in many lands. She is an object lesson of faith and courage. He* seed fell on earnest hearts, who worked first to redeem the wrecked homes and lives of the Liquor Traffic, to form counter-
attractions to the liquor bar, to provide instruction and amusements for the young. Their many activities were later developed into technica instruction under Government. The many reforms for which they worked have been established by Statute. They established coffee staUs, rest rooms. Seamen’s Missions, free kindergartens, prison gate w r ork. Dorcas work, various kinds of relief, homes for friendless girls .ill this undertaken by busy women with faith and vision. What an example to us who still have responsibility great still for our youth of today. Hearty thanks moved by Mrs Siinoson. Lieut. Hatton gave a recitation. Adjutant Ferguson led the Devotions.
