NEW BRIGHTON HEARS ABOUT CHILD WELFARE.
Mrs Taylor spoke of her work as Magistrate's Associate at the Children's Court, and of the many different organisations that had l>een founded in recent years for the welfare of children. She nave details of the working of the Child Welfare Act, and stated that there were 7085 children under the can of this Act in 1930. In the same year 380 l>at>ies were committed to the care >f the Infant Life Protection Agent in Christchurch alone. The speaker earnestly urged that all present would do their utmost in using their influence ’a the careful upbringing of children.
