A WORD FROM OUR DOMINION LKADERS. The Convention of 1929 launched I scheme involving ureatly-inereas* I financial responsibilities for the Dominion I nion and for each individual In ion. A Forward Movonn nt was decided upon, with the object of: ( 1 » Providing the Dominion I'nion with a home or headquarters; and (2) Widening the knowledge of our work by an intensive educational campaign. In furtherance of this object, a Million Shilling Fund has been established. Your I'nion officers met in W< 1 last week, and, as a third of the year has none by, it was thought wise to let our members and sympathisers know how we are proing At the pre* ut date I Auuust loth) the returns from the Million Shilling Fund amount to £192 lis. Since March Ist. £2ll -is. ltd. has been spent in interest, insurance. &c. and within the next six months we shall have to find approximated £2 90 for interest and rates The position is one which merits the earnest consideration of the Fnions. We have embarked upon a scheme, requiring not a sudden spurt, but a effort At the end of November another statement will be issued, and your officers confidently expect the fiuur.s to show a more substantial increase. Fnions have now had time to ftl into their stride, District Conventions will be meeting, and doubtless will make plans for a more intensive campaign, and all departments of our work should receive a fresh impetus. Your officers request that Fnions will remit all monies for every fund to the Dominion Treasurer by the 10th of every month. In pad yars it has been the custom of many Fnions to keep the donations in hand until near the close of the financial year. When we had a large credit balance, this caused our Treasurer no anxiety. But the position is now different. All our funds are binu v,\.rel\ taxed, ami your officers will ureatly appreciate your help in remittal funds promptly. If you
