Court of women police is a great comfort to young girls and children in th >ir trouble, but the work done outside the Court in keeping the young straight and in preventing them from getting into trouble is most valuable.” The following schedule shows the more important services which can be rendered by policewomen: - Taking depositions from women and children in cases of criminal or indecent assault. Collecting all evidence from women and children in previously mentioned cases, accompanying to take out warrant for arrest of ofJ fender and giving evidence in Court. Conveying women offenders to and from prisons to Court and liuck. Accompanying women who hav? to take long journeys in chaige of •a constable. Dealing with cases where women are charged with drunkenness and other disorderly conduct. I baling with charges of loitering, 1 soliciting, etc., brought against women. Patrolling the streets, parks, and open spaces. Inspecting places of amusement and reporting on the tone of these these places. Reporting had housing and other I abuses.
