Cyrus, without performing this • ‘eremony, delivered the cup in a graceful manner to his grandfather Th-* King observed the omission, which h“ imputed to forgetfulness "No." replied Cyrus, “T am afraid to taste, because T apprehended there was poison in the liquor, for not long since, a* on entertainment you gave, T observed that the lords of y’our court, after drinking it. became noisy, quarrelsome, and fmn tic. Even you, Sir. seemed to have forgotten that you were a King.”
